The rugs in this range have, as the name suggests, a unique subtly speckled texture. The rugs are handknotted in India using a blend of Indian and Argentinian wool which has been  dyed twice. This double cycle of dyeing the yarn gives the rugs their special texture - there are very slight variations in intensity of colour in the yarn which, when twisted together, results in the speckled appearance. The rugs are also washed which enhances this beautifully uneven look. This Manual process can result in slight colour variations from rug to rug and makes each rug a unique piece.
